Moyer was born in Minneapolis Minnesota in 1955, but grew up in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Moyer attended local Orlando schools and graduated with a B.A. in political science from the University of Central Florida (then-Florida Technological University in 1977. He attended Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham Alabama and earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1980. Mr. Moyer has practiced in Central Florida since 1981 covering a wide range of legal matters, emphasizing family law, bankruptcy and commercial law, as well as acting as mediator in Family Law and juvenile dependency matters. In early 1999, Moyer and Straus, a partnership with Timothy Straus, merged with Prabodh Patel, with whom Mr. Moyer had practiced in the past at a firm in Longwood, Florida. With the added experience and knowledge of Mr. Patel, that firm covered most aspects of the law.
