Areas of Practice

I proudly serve my clients in the following areas of law:

Bankruptcy

Bankruptcy Law went through a major change in October 2005.  Since then, the real estate "market" in Florida has spiraled into a severe slump - a "depression" per some, the mortgage mess and other factors have led some people to the brink of economic ruin.  If you have experienced financial downturns in your life which have you wondering what options remain for you, come in for a free consultation to determine if a form of bankruptcy protection is a real option for you and your family.  My firm represents individuals and commercial clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings. As such, this office has been designated as a Debt Relief Agency. We assist persons in the filing of bankruptcy. Decades of experience means that we can provide the best course for dealing with your creditors and protecting your assets.

Family Law

I handle a full range of Family Law matters including step parent adoptions, divorce, adoption, separation, name changes, guardianships, premarital agreements, paternity, custody, and support, as well as contempt, modifications, and enforcement of judgments.  If you need advice and representation in cases involving any of these, I have over 27 years experience handling such matters.  These cases are never easy, even when they are basically uncontested.  Ending a marriage or relationship which have produced children can be emotionally trying whether for the mother or the father.  Florida law provides for each parent to remain actively with and having co-equal rights to the children - unless to do so would be harmful for the kids.  Let me explain the law regarding parental rights - determine child support - and help you on the way to your new life, keeping the children's interest paramount.

Business and Commercial Litigation

I represent clients in State Court when disputes are over contracts and other commercial matters.  As a member of the Business Law section of the Florida Bar, I can provide you and your business with over 27 years of experience.  Whether evaluating the option in the formation of your business, or if you have the need for representation in court, call me for a consultation.

Business Organizations

The form of business chosen for a business entity potentially affects every aspect of its operations. I firm assist my clients in formation and business planning in deciding whether they want to operate as a closely held business, limited liability company, partnership, or corporation. We advise our clients about directors' and officers' liability, dissolution, franchising, reorganization, trade association membership and activity, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, business successions, and shareholders' rights. Tax matters are referred to a C.P.A. When you can't get what you need from sunbiz.org, call me.

Real Estate

As a member of Attorney's Title Insurance Fund for over 22 years,  I represent both commercial clients and individuals in all proceedings and transactions that deal with real property-land and the structures attached to it-including purchase and sale, construction, mortgages and foreclosures, leases, zoning, title examinations, quiet title actions, closings, and management. Further, I handle all Residential and commercial Sale/Purchase closings. Preparation of mortgages, (collateral and wrap-around), UCC-1 Financing and Security Agreements, Easements, Cross Easements. In addition, I handle Owner's and Loan Title Policies, Title Opinions, Guarantee Agreements, Indemnity Agreements, Purchase and Lease Options and Defending Condemnation proceedings.
